About Us

Derby Willis is the realization of an over decade long dream between two friends, Jason "Derby" and Daniel "Willis". We had long desired to work on something we were both passionate about. Derby has over a decade in software development and testing, and Willis has over a decade in business management. Ultimately we decided a platform that would allow us to interact with other small businesses would create an ideal opportunity for Derby Willis to develop projects we are both passionate about and can be proud of for meeting the needs of other passionate entrepreneurs. We began work on our first official project in early 2023, partnering with an outfitting company to develop an app that would allow outdoor hunters to request the services of bloodhound trackers. Derby Willis is excited to create and develop relationships with new small businesses to help drive the success of both ourselves and our small business clients.

What else have we done?

Our Other Work

Task Oriented Platform
The Task Oriented Platform ™, or "TOP" as we like to call it, was our first official project. While TOP can be easily restructured to meet a variety of needs for different businesses, we first paired with an outfitting company to utilize TOP in a way that would allow outdoor hunters to request the services of bloodhound trackers directly. We created a fully three dimensional shot input model that allows the hunter to rotate a 3d model of the animal and dictate where their estimated shot impacted. They could then fill out all of the pertinent details required for the tracker to make an analysis and estimate. The trackers could then review the 3d shot input model and all of the information to determine the viability and potential cost estimate of the track. The hunter and tracker were then connected in a manner similar to rideshare apps to complete the service.
